This heavy wool greatcoat was designed to keep a soldier warm during cold European winters. Void of rank insignia, medals, or even a manufacturer, this handsome green greatcoat was kept in fine condition during years of conflict. It belonged to Frederic N. Chesham, who served in the Lincoln and Welland Regiment during the Second World War. Frederic married Kathleen Lorna Spafford, the widow of Doctor William Spafford, in 1947.
